Caller ID

Service Description
  Know who's calling before you pick up the phone. YourInternetPhone Caller ID with Name, lets you view the name and number for each incoming call on your handset's display unit.
  Caller ID with Name gives you an easy way to manage your phone calls. On your way out the door, but don't know if you should pick up that phone call? With Caller ID with Name you can screen your call and decide whether to pick up.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  This feature is automatically activated with YourInternetPhone service on all plans except Residential Basic. You will need a phone with a Caller ID display to use this feature.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  In between ringing bursts, YourInternetPhone can generate a Caller-ID signal to the attached phone when the phone is on- hook.

Caller ID Blocking - Permanent

Service Description
  This feature allows the user to block the delivery of their Caller ID to the number they are calling on all calls.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To set the default to Block Outgoing Caller ID:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone and Press *94.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  The user activates this service to hide his Caller ID on all outgoing calls.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  To set the default to Send Outgoing Caller ID:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone and Press *95.
     

Caller ID Blocking Per Call

Service Description
  This feature allows the user to block the delivery of their Caller ID to the number they are calling. This feature must be activated prior to dialing each call and is only in effect for the duration of each call.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To Block Outgoing Caller ID on the next call
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone and Press *67.
    This only has an effect if the default is set to Send Outgoing Caller ID.
  To Send Outgoing Caller ID on the next call
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone and Press *82.
    This only has an effect if the default is set to Block Outgoing Caller ID.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  The user activates this service to show or hide his Caller ID when making an outgoing call.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  No action required. This service is only in effect for the duration of the current call.
     


Call Waiting

Service Description
  The user can accept a call from a 3rd party while engaged in an active call. YourInternetPhone will alert you of the incoming call by playing a call waiting tone.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To enable call waiting on a per call basis:
    Note: Call waiting is normally enabled, this action is only necessary if you have disabled call waiting on a permanent basis (*76) and wish to enable it for a single call.
    Lift Receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *71.
  If you choose to answer the second call either:
    Press and release your phone's switch hook (the button you release when you take your phone off the hook)
    -or- Press the flash button (if your phone has one). This puts your first call on hold and automatically connects you to your second call.
  To switch between callers:
    Press the switch hook or flash button again. (You can alternate between calls as often as you like.)
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  If the user is on a call when another call comes in they will hear a series of beeps or tones alerting them to the second call. The person calling will hear normal ringing.

  Hang up the phone.
     

Call Waiting - Disable

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone supports disabling of call waiting on a permanent basis.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To disable Call Waiting on a per call basis:
    Lift Receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *70.
  To disable Call Waiting on a permanent basis:
    Lift Receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *76.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  Callers who dial your number will receive a busy signal or, if available, the caller will be forwarded to voice mail or another predetermined forwarding number.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  To enable Call Waiting on a permanent basis:
    Lift Receiver and Press *96.
     


Call Waiting Disable Per Call

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone supports disabling of call waiting on a per-call basis.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To disable Call Waiting on the next call:
    Before placing a call, lift receiver, listen for dial tone, then press *70.
    Listen for dial tone then dial the number you want to call.
  To deactivate Call Waiting while on a call:
    Press the switch hook or flash button briefly. This puts the first call on hold. Listen for three short tones and then a dial tone. Press *70. Listen for dial tone then return to your call by pressing the switch hook or flash button.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  Callers who dial your number will receive a busy signal or, if available, the caller will be forwarded to voice mail or another predetermined forwarding number.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  No user action is required.
     

Call Forward - Unconditional

Service Description
  All calls are immediately forwarded to the designated forwarding number. YourInternetPhone will not ring or provide call waiting when Call Forward Unconditional is activated.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To activate Call Forward Unconditional:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone then press *72.
    Listen for dial tone and enter the telephone number to which you are forwarding your calls. Activation will be confirmed with three short bursts of tone and your forwarding will be activated. Alternatively, the user can activate this feature from the WWW interface.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  This feature allows a user the option to divert (forward) all calls to any number using the touch-tone keypad of their telephone or web browser interface. This service is activated or deactivated from the phone being forwarded or from the WWW interface.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  To deactivate Call Forward Unconditional:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone then press *73.
    You will hear a confirmation tone signalling your change has been accepted. Alternatively, the user can deactivate this feature from the WWW interface.
     

Call Forward - Busy

Service Description
  Calls are forwarded to the designated forwarding number if the subscriber's line is busy because of the following: the Primary line is already in a call, or the primary and secondary lines are in a call or a conference call.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To activate Call Forward Busy:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone then press *90.
    Listen for dial tone and enter the telephone number to which you want to forward your calls. Activation will be confirmed with three short bursts of tone. Alternatively, the user can activate this feature from the WWW interface.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  This feature allows a user the option to divert (forward) calls to any number when their phone is busy or in conference. This service is activated or deactivated from the phone being forwarded or the web browser interface.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  To deactivate Call Forward Busy:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone then press *91.
    You will hear a confirmation tone signalling your change has been accepted. Alternatively, the user can deactivate this feature from the WWW interface.
     

Call Forwarding - No Answer

Service Description
  Calls are forwarded to the designated forwarding number after a configurable time period elapses while YourInternetPhone is ringing and is not answered.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To activate Call Forward No Answer:
    Lift the receiver, listen for dial tone and Press *92.
    Listen for dial tone and enter the telephone number you are forwarding your call to. Activation will be confirmed with three short bursts of tone and your forwarding will be activated. Alternatively, the user can activate this feature from the WWW interface. Note: The forward delay may be entered from the WWW interface. Default is 20 seconds.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  This feature allows a user the option to divert (forward) calls to their telephone number to any other phone number when their phone is not answered by using the touch-tone keypad of their telephone or their web browser interface. This service is activated or deactivated from the phone being forwarded or the web browser interface.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  To deactivate Call Forward No Answer:
    Lift the receiver Listen for dial tone Press *93.
    You will hear a confirmation tone signaling your change has been accepted. Alternatively, the user can deactivate this feature from the WWW interface.
     

3-Way Calling

Service Description
  You can originate a call to a 3rd party while engaging in an active call.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To initiate a call to a 3rd party:
    Press the switch hook or flash button to place the first party on hold.
    Listen for three short tones followed by dial tone.
    Dial the number of the 3rd party.
    When the 3rd party answers you may have a conversation with them while the other party is on hold.
  To hold a conference with the party on hold and the 3rd party:
    Press the switch hook or flash button.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  YourInternetPhone supports up to two calls per line. YourInternetPhone can conference two calls by bridging the 2nd and 3rd parties.

Last Call Return

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone supports a service that allows you to automatically dial the last caller's number.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To initiate a call to the last caller that tried to reach you:
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *69
    Note: there is no additional charge for this feature.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  This service gives the user the convenience of re-calling their last incoming call automatically.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  No user action required.
     

Do Not Disturb

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone supports a service that allows you to make all calls to your phone number ring busy, whether or not you are using the phone.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To make all calls to your phone ring busy:
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *78
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  All callers to you phone number will get a busy signal, or if you configured Call Forward - Busy they will be forwarded, or if you have turned on voicemail they will be forwarded to voicemail.

Anonymous Call Blocking - Permanent

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone provides you the option to block incoming calls that do not reveal the caller's Caller ID.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To set the default to Block Anonymous Calls:
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *77.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  When activated by the user, callers will hear the busy tone, or go to Voicemail.
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  To set the default to Allow Anonymous Calls:
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *87.
     

Speed Dialing

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone supports user programming of up to 8 long distance, local, international or emergency numbers for fast and easy access.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To configure a speed dial code:
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *74.
    Dial the single digit code under which the number is to be stored (2-9).
    Dial the complete number to be stored.
    Listen for Confirmation tone (two short beeps).
    Hang up or repeat the sequence.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  Pick up the receiver. Listen for dial tone. Press single digit code assigned to the stored number (2-9). Press # to signal dialing complete. The number is automatically dialed normally.

  No action is required
     

VoiceMail

Service Description
  YourInternetPhone allows callers to record a voice message when you are busy or unavailable.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  This feature is enabled by default for all plans, except Basic.
  However, you may turn the voicemail feature off or on:
    Visit the WWW interface to turn voicemail off or on
  To retrieve your voicemail messages
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *98:
    You may also dial your own phone number from your phone to access the voicemail system.
    To retrieve voicemail from a different phone, dial 541-323-1098 and enter your 10-digit telephone number and password at the prompts.
  To modify your voicemail message and other options, access your voicemail box the same way you would to pick up messages, then press 0 for Other Options.
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  With voicemail 'On', incoming calls go to voicemail when:
    The call rings busy
    You do not answer the call
    Your Intenet connection is down or your phone is not on
  However, the call will not go to voicemail if:
    You have Call Forward - Unconditional activated
    You have Call Forward - Busy activated and the call rings busy
    You have Call Forawrd - No Answer activated and the call is not answered
User Action Required to Deactivate or End
  You may turn the voicemail feature off or on:
    Visit the WWW interface to turn voicemail on or off
    Note that Call-Forwarding features may override voicemail pickup.
     

Reset to Default

Service Description
  Resets feature options to their default values.
User Action Required to Activate or Use
  To reset Call Forwarding, Voice Mail and Speed Dialing to their default values
    Pick up the receiver, Listen for dial tone and Press *99:
  To reset all other features to their default values
    Pick up the receiver, enter "****", and at the voice prompt enter "877778#" and then enter "1" to confirm
Expected Call and Network Behavior
  Feature options are reset to their default values.
