The Internet and modern networking technology are revolutionizing the telephony world. Our systems utilize a technology called Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP). VoIP feels the same to the user and works just like a regular phone, except calls are carried over modern high-capacity internet connections instead of the aging telephone network. Imagine what the internet and your computer are capable of, then apply that functionality to your phone - the result is VoIP.

You can use two different types of phones with our systems. "Normal" or "Analog" phones have been standard phone equipment for many decades. Analog phones work perfectly on our system and simply require a VoIP Adapter. Analog phones are inexpensive and come in a wide variety, including useful cordless versions.

IP Phones can also be used on our systems. IP (Internet Protocol) Phones are the future of telephony. They function like normal phones but plug in via ethernet instead of a phone jack. IP phones are extremely flexible, you can plug them into any high speed internet connection and calls will be directed there. Think of it like mobile office, Bend, Seattle, Tokyo - wherever you want to be.

At the office level IP phone systems function over a Local Area Network (LAN). The internet, computers, and printers are already connected by LAN networks - now they'll connect your phones. Generally each computer and phone connects to a central router, the router connects to a modem, and the modem connects to the internet. This setup eliminates the need for separate networks for your phones and computers while drastically increasing the capabilities of your phones.
